Stanley E. Munger

Stan was born and raised in Vermillion, South Dakota. He graduated from Vermillion High School in 1966 and then attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Stan graduated from Iowa State University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in Distributive Studies, with emphasis in History, Economics and Political Science. He attended the Arizona State University School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1974.

From 1974 to 1978, Stan was employed by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office as a Deputy County Attorney. In 1978, he returned to Sioux City, Iowa and joined the law firm of Kindig, Beebe, Rawlings, Nieland and Killinger, where he was a Partner in the firm until 1988. In 1988, Stan left the firm and started his own firm, Munger Law Firm, which was located on the same floor as our present location in the Ho-Chunk Centre.

David L. Reinschmidt

David grew up on a farm south of Wagner, South Dakota, and graduated from Wagner Community School in 1978. He attended the University of South Dakota and in 1982 graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science and minors in Mathematics, French, and History. In 1983, David received his Masters of Science from the University of London School of Economics and Political Science. He then attended the University of Virginia Law School, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia in 1987.

David’s legal profession began as an associate lawyer for a law firm in Wellington, New Zealand and London, England from August 1987 to February 1988. He then practiced with the law firm of Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he practiced from 1988 to 1989. In July 1989, David joined the Munger Law Firm as an associate and became a partner in 1991.

David is licensed to practice law in:

Jay E. Denne (Of Counsel)

Jay was born and raised on a farm near Griswold, Iowa, and graduated from Griswold High School in 1988. He attended Iowa State University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1992 with a major in Political Science and a minor in History. Jay then attended the University of Iowa Law School and received a Juris Doctorate with distinction in 1995. He has also studied at Wartburg Theological Seminary. Jay began practicing law with the firm in 1995, and became a partner in 2000.

Jay has served as the President of the Woodbury County Bar Association, the Sioux City Library Board of Trustees, and the Woodbury County Civil Service Commission. He has also served on the Iowa Supreme Court Task Force on Civil Justice Reform, the Magistrate Selection Board for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, and the Board of the Bar Association of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Jay is also trained in civil and family law mediation, and is a member of the Iowa Association of Mediators.
